What we're about

You have a curious mind, intellectual motivation, and recognize that society and civilization do not look as stable as they once did. You want to learn more and participate in a path that secures a better future for humanity. You're able to think outside partisan and ordinary political axes, and to have calm, reasonable, and productive discussion with others whose ideas differ from yours (think Intellectual Dark Web and look them up if you haven't familiarized yourself). Game B is the name given to the goal of building a new civilization within the current one that can self-sustain and provide immediate transition should today's institutions fail us. For instance, Bitcoin (or cryptocurrency in general) might be viewed as an attempt to engineer a monetary system not dependent on current political institutions. Let us get together, learn, and share.

Game B: Serious Ideas, Casually Exchanged

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium

Given that 30 people joined the group in the first 3 days, I figured I should get cracking organizing a first meetup. Let's talk about civilization, game theory, next generation education (that doesn't suck), lobster hierarchies, Bitcoin, transcendence of political systems, anti-fragility, and, oh, let's all meet each other. Invite a friend who may not know about Game B or the Intellectual Dark Web, but who has interesting ideas---or is talented at probing and poking at other people's ideals constructively. Please be ready to both share and listen---contribute and learn as you like, with positive sum goals and good will. This first meetup will hopefully become a casual monthly event without anything like a speaker or presentation. My hope is to meet some of you and hear ideas on a second set of monthly meetups that may perhaps center around more formal presentations. Come and stay for 30 minutes or 2 hours, enjoy a beer or don't, stay for dinner afterward if you're enjoying the company. I will spring for a few appetizers, but beer or other food is on you if you're interested.
