Hi fellow design enthusiasts,

This is an e-mail to celebrate some of our members that are putting themselves and their games out into the open. It takes some guts to do that, so kudos to all of you!

Boston FIG - awards

All awards were won by game designers from our meetup. I'm so proud!

  • Indie Ideals (Best Game) - Ore: The Mining Game. Designers: Jason Lyle Steingisser & Joseph W. McClintock
  • Design Dazzle (Best Art) - Castles of Caragaba. Designer: David Wilkinson
  • Tiny Tesla (Best Innovation) - Ice Cubris. Designers: Evan Burchard & Gabriel Warshauer Baker

Congratulations and thanks again to anyone involved in the festival!

NEGC - showcase

The New England Gaming Convention will be held on Sept. 22, 2013 at the Dilboy VFW hall in Davis Square, Somerville. You can access their website at: to learn more details about the convention.

Six of our own designers will be showcasing their games at the event:

  1. Donald Mitchell - Clairvoyance
  2. Joseph McClintock & Jason Lyle - Ore: The Mining Game
  3. Todd Goodman - Ninja Dice
  4. Jeremy Burnham - Stack & Attack
  5. Dan Haard - Caveman: Valled of the Dread Neanderthal
  6. Niels Burger - Rootlands

HASBRO Hackathon

I realized I never mentioned this, but one of our designers also won a prize at the HASBRO Hackathon: Geoffrey Hale won with something that no one can talk about yet :)

Happy designing!
