• D&D 5E - NON AL - Content TBD (Rob's Noon table)
Rob's Noon table will continue to fire on Saturdays at noon. This is NOT an Adventurer's League session, so if that's what you are looking for, this isn't it. In general this session will follow the Adventurer's League Seasonal content, using the hardcover adventures. However, the new season is a set of smaller adventures compiled into a single volume. So, we will have the opportunity to allow players to choose the active story-line. The first session (4/8) will be character creation, if needed, and possibly the start of a new module, if everyone comes with an appropriate character. DM may deviate from the rulebook at their discretion. If you have any questions, call the store, or you can ping Rob on Meetup.

  • Magic: The Gathering - Two-Headed Giant - Standard Draft
Join us every Sunday at Game Theory for Magic: The Gathering, Two-Headed Giant standard draft. Players will draft from booster packs in the current MtG block. $15 entry fee per player (includes the cost of booster packs) No partner? No problem. Individual players are encouraged to attend and pair with another single player. There are always players looking for a partner at Game Theory. What is Two-Headed Giant? Two-Headed Giant is a fun multiplayer format where two-player teams battle against one another. Each team takes actions as a team rather than individually. How does Two-Headed Giant differ from other multiplayer formats? • Each team has a shared life total that starts at 30 life. • Each team takes their turn together, meaning they draw as a team, attack as a team, block as a team, and go through all phases of the turn as a team. • The team that goes first skips their first draw step. • Teams do NOT share any resources other than life--meaning players can't share cards in hand or mana. • The short way of remembering this is any reference to "you" on cards still means each individual player. Teams may share information and strategize together. • The first mulligan is to seven cards, then each mulligan afterward results in one fewer card (six, five, four etc.). • A teams loses when their life total is 0 or less, when they accumulate fifteen or more poison counters, or when either team member is unable to draw a card from his or her deck. • Damage and loss of life happens to individual players, and the effects are applied to the team's shared life total. For example, once blocks are determined, any unblocked creatures are assigned to deal damage to one of the two players. Afterward, the damage is totaled and subtracted from the team life total. • Effects that target "each opponent" or "each player" affect each team member separately. For example, when Rabid Bloodsucker enters the battlefield, each player would lose 2 life—meaning each team loses 4 total life.

  • Netrunner - The Card Game - Open Play
Join us every Sunday for free open play of Netrunner - The Card Game at Game Theory. This asymmetrical card game resurrects the mechanics of the original Netrunner, designed by Richard Garfield (the creator of Magic the Gathering), and updates them to increase clarity and promote a more dynamic play environment. In a world where corporations can scan the human mind and interface it directly with electronic data, more data moves every second than was ever processed in the first five-thousand years of written language. The network is omnipresent, the crux of modern human civilization, and while visionary corporations seek to secure their most valuable data on the network, the elite hackers known as Netrunners seek to steal it.
