What we're about

Ganja Yoga is the original cannabis-enhanced yoga, founded by author Dee Dussault. We've been blazing and bending since 2009. This group is currently managed by 1st generation certified Ganja Yoga teacher Javiera.

Javiera is the co founder of Green Magic Yoga (https://greenmagicyoga.com/) and with her partner Sebastián, have been integrating Yoga, Cannabis and Mindfulness creating space for healing, growth and community. As the war on drugs comes to an end we are working on building safe spaces for communities to learn, grow and heal with cannabis, mindfulness and yoga. We invite you to join this cultural and evolutionary transformation. Green Magic Yoga has been featured in Playboy (https://www.playboy.com/read/cannabis-psychedelic-potential), Bud.com, Psychedelic Cannabis (https://www.amazon.com/Psychedelic-Cannabis-Breaking-Daniel-McQueen/dp/0998320919) book by Daniel McQueen among other media.

Ganja Yoga is designed for relaxation, pain-relief, well-being, community, and the cultivation of inner peace.Less physically-intense than most other yoga, Ganja Yoga is high-quality instruction, based on mindfulness and good alignment for injury-prevention, - designed for all bodies. Javi’s classes are a blend of slow vinyasa flow, relaxing vibes, grounded spirituality and a touch of latino spice. All levels are welcomed.

SAFE PSYCHEDELIC JOURNEYS DURING COVID-19 We’ve adapter our monthly San Francisco circles to a new online format. Some of the pros to this approach is that you can journey from the comfort and safety of your own home. We’ve also adjusted guidance, music and timing to help be supportive in resourcing and balancing in times distress. We provide instruction on mindful cannabis use, an opportunity for each of the participants to share your journey intention and then guide you through a progressive relaxation and cannabis healing meditation. We close our circle with a brief time for sharing and grounding. This event will be hosted via Zoom and is 21+ only. Bring Your Own Weed / Mat / Snacks Our online circles are $50. We also have discounts for students, vets, low income and seniors, or who prefer to make a donation, so just send us a note and we'll make sure you can join our events! Reserve your spot at https://greenmagicyoga.com/events We are grateful if you feel called to share the depth of this work with others as well as sharing a monetary donation. MONTHLY CIRCLES IN SAN FRANCISCO TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED DURING SHELTER IN PLACE Green Magic Yoga offers monthly Conscious Cannabis circles in the Bay Area. Typically these occur on the third Saturday night of the month at MissionYoga in San Francisco. We call these Conscious Cannabis Circles because an important part of this work is coming together as community. We provide a safe and sacred space for individuals to come and do their own journey work in a group setting. Instruction on how to step into a psychedelic journey and hold a mindfulness practice is also given during each circle bu trained and experienced cannabis guides. Participants have described this work as “deeply heart-opening” and “one of the most psychedelic experiences I’ve had”. Many compare this experience to those with other plant medicines like LSD, MDMA, Psilocybin mushrooms and Ayahuasca. This ceremony format was created by Daniel McQueen and Medicinal Mindfulness in 2012 and is now being taught and extended across the united states in cities where cannabis is legal. What the event looks like We begin each journey by creating sacred space together as a community. We then share some guidelines on how to approach this experience in a mindful and intentional way. We imbibe as a group and then guide you through a body scan relaxation. After this we invite you to lie down and journey with our curated evocative music set. We are there with you for the entire journey. We then bring participants back to the room and do some integration and grounding accompanied by light snacks. We make sure everybody is doing well before you go home. If your interested you can find and register for out next circle here: rsvp.greenmagicyoga.com Have questions? send us an email to: [masked]
