What we're about

Garden Pool has a Meetup group in California! Join the GP Team to learn how to grow food using 98% less water than conventional farming methods in a self-sustaining ecosystem. We also do amazing things like build backyard food-systems, start seed libraries, help other nonprofits and schools grow food, teach informative classes, harvest rain & dew water, and provide the public with volunteer opportunities local and abroad.

Garden Pool is dedicated to research and education of sustainable ways to grow food. Our mission as a federally recognized 501(c)3 public charity is to develop better ways to grow food and help others do the same!

The Garden Pool system combines:

solar power – harnessing and storing the sun’s energy

water conservation – harvesting rain & dew water and recycling waste water

poultry farming – raising ducks and chickens

aquaculture – raising tilapia fish in ponds

hydroponic & aeroponic gardening – growing without soil

organic horticulture – using natural methods to control garden pests

aquaponics – the symbiotic cultivation of produce and fish in a recirculating hydroponic environment

bio-filtration – natural water filtration method using biochemistry and duckweed

dairy goats - dwarf Nigerian pygmy goats provide fresh milk daily

dwarf fruit & nut trees - small trees that produce an array of food
