The spring season is a natural time to cleanse your body as the darker days and cold weather fade to sunshine, renewal and expansion. Cleansing has become a popular term, and what we encourage is an integrated mind and body approach to gently detoxifying your body as part of a healthy lifestyle and spring ritual.
We live in a modern world where environmental pollution, toxins, pesticides, chemicals and stress are unavoidable; what is in our foods, beauty products, cleaning supplies, medications, for example, often contain small amounts of substances that enter our body and build up over time and can cause dis-ease.
Our body has natural detoxification processes, and part of promoting health and wellbeing can include supporting that system by gentle cleansing.
In this 4-hr workshop, you’ll be given both the teachings and experience of detoxifying the body and mind to promote wellbeing and health in your life. Rather than diet restrictions or sugar-loaded juice cleanses, we teach you what foods can be found in nature this time of year that support your body in detoxifying. Since our body systems do not work in isolation, part of your experience will include learning about ways to declutter your mind, and reduce anxiety and stress so that your body has the opportunity to focus on healing.
In addition, as you learn about cleansing and detoxification, you’ll be provided with nourishing teas and light foods that aid in the detoxification process so you can experience what it feels like in your body to consume these foods and see how delicious they taste.
You’ll leave this workshop feeling grounded, nourished, and confident in how you can continue practices that support your body through the year.

• Nature walk, plant identification and collection;
• Wild and foraged foods & teas that support detoxification;
• Learning experience on how your body detoxification systems works, what symptoms you may notice and how you can support your health;
• When and why you want to undertake a cleanse;
• Discussion of common places you’re being exposed to toxins that are easy to remove;
• Take-away list of foods that support your liver detoxification process to support you in continuing healthy practices after the workshop;
• Three easy recipes to make at home that are cleansing and nourishing.
