What we're about

The Gathering Volumes History/Biography Book Club meets the last Wednesday of each month at Gathering Volumes Bookstore in Perrysburg, OH. It is a place for people from Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan to come together to discuss history, the people who made it, and any lessons learned or parallels to today's society. Although we read a wide variety of books we try to focus on people and events with a connection to our region. For instance, we have read or will read books about the War of 1812, Detroit, Ohio natives Orville & Wilbur Wright, Ohio native Neil Armstrong, Anthony Wayne (hero of the Battle of Fallen Timbers), the history of Toledo, and the settlement of Southeast Ohio. We hope you will join us and look forward to meeting you!
