[ONLINE] GPUG - July (2020) Monthly Meetup

This will be our 3rd meetup of 2020. We will have 2 main talks.

Title: Programming Basics for everyone

How and why is important for everyone to learn how to code even jus the basics.

Speaker: Nick Ndhlovu

Nick Ndhlovu is currently working as a Junior Design Engineer for a company that designs earth moving equipment for the mines and reside in Joburg. When he is not doing that, he runs run a blog www.nickinspires.co.za which focuses on providing free online courses on such as Programming, CAD design, Website design and lately working on robotics tutorials.

Title: How Hypothesis and VCR Changed the Way I Do Testing in Python

The speaker will give us a guide on the best practices for configuring/deploying your Python application.

Speaker: Jethro Muller

Jethro Muller is a software developer at Flickswitch. He primarily works in Python with Django on server-side code. He enjoys ORM query optimisation, building pipelines and tooling, optimising workflows, and playing with AI.
