Gay Foodies Pages

Are you LGBT and a foodie? Have you always wanted to join a dining club that will try out a wide variety of restaurants - from street food, all the way to fine dining, from American cuisine, to all types of ethnic cuisine Southern California has to offer?

Then this is the group for you. We meetup at least 30 times a month. We have hold a lot of activities every week because being a Gay Foodies member isn't just an activity or hobby, its a lifestyle! The typical event will have between 4 to 12 attendees. The group age range membership is mostly in the 30's and 40's, but we have members in the 20's all the way up to the 60's.

This is an extremely active MeetUp group, so advance warning - you will be receiving email notifications/updates on a weekly basis if you decide to join this group. The number one reason why people leave the group is because they tell me that we are too active and have too many activities! This is not a group for couch potatoes or people who always tell themselves 'someday' but never end up doing anything.

Many of the events are limited seating dining events, so we strictly enforce attendance. If you RSVP, 'Yes' for an event, then I fully expect you to attend the event. No shows/flakes are NOT tolerated and are banned from the group. The number two reason why people leave the group is because they are removed for being flakes/no shows.

Most of the events will take place in LA County, but we do have some events that take place in Santa Barbara, The OC, and San Diego. Don't be surprised if I post one or two events taking place in San Francisco or Las Vegas.

Most of our dining events will have some other activity paired with it like visiting a museum, playing volleyball in the beach, hiking, kayaking, walking tours, etc. As much as we love food, we also like to do other activities that help burn off a few calories. My philosophy is if you can't be a tourist in your own city every weekend, then you aren't living in a great city.

Some members also volunteer to host potluck parties at their homes. I'm always open to dining and activity suggestions, but the emphasis of the events will always be about good food and good company.

If there's a restaurant you want to try, we are always open to new suggestions for the group to try out. We celebrate food and life. We Live to Eat!
