What we’re about
The Gay Men's Book Club of Frederick is open to men of all ages who are interested in reading works of gay male-themed fiction and non-fiction. At each month's gathering, a book is discussed which participants have read ahead of time. Books are chosen by group participants in advance. The books selected are usually available from area libraries. Discounts on new purchased books are available at Curious Iguana.
The mission of the Gay Men's Book Club of Frederick is to serve the community by providing an opportunity for men to thoughtfully exchange literary opinions and ideas regarding a gay-themed book in a friendly, open and affirming environment.
The group meets from 7:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the 3rd Thursday of each month, except for major cultural or religious holidays.
All male-identified individuals are welcome to participate regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression.
