This is a relaxed "No Attitude" small (now larger) Social Community of CatholiX: Gay Catholics, Christians & Friends - Regardless of Where You Find Yourself in "Your Own Personal Spiritual Journey."
CatholiX is gender-neutral term to emphasize full inclusion of any and all genders of Gay Catholics, Christians & Friends (www.CatholiX.org)
Our events are mainly Social and Current Affairs Discussion gatherings with specific interest on discussing current issues affecting Gay Catholics and Christians. Our events include topic-related Current Event Casual Chats; Movies; Jazz Mass; Dinners; Mass & Sports Bar; Theater; Guest Speakers; Book Readings; Music/Concert; Picnics; Walks; Sunset-Watch; Volunteer Projects/Events and others.
There is no fee to join the community and most events are free, but if there are any costs associated with events planned - they will be included in the event posting (ie, movie, theater, speaker, etc)
• For Members far away or unable to physically attend the events, we also hold online chats, video calls & "free online course" events with group discussions on member-suggested topics. If you would like to set up an event closer to you or your parish, let us know and we will help you organize it.
Group's MISSION: Aside from providing social network opportunities for the many LGBTQ Catholic & Christians in NYC and the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT), we also highlight all other events welcoming our community throughout the area. In addition, part of the mission of this group is to let other LGBTQ Catholics, Christians and their friends/families worldwide who may be in countries, states, or cities where their human rights are not being respected that change is here and happening everyday in communities everywhere - including ours. By sharing the events and other information thru this group and its group members, we hope that some of these events may also provide you with ideas on what may be possible where you are.
• For Churches & Organizations Near or Far: If you would like us to share some of your LGBTQ Ministry & Outreach events with the group, please reach out to the group's organizers with a brief description & date/time/rsvp specifics of the event; along with your contact info(email/phone) for event verification.

Meetup/Group Respect & Etiquette:
As a courtesy to other group members; including LGBTQ Families who are part of this group, all membership requests with nude or inappropriate photos as profile photo will be declined automatically by the filters. Also if you receive an unsolicited - offensive message here from another member that is discriminatory, religious or sexual in nature - please copy message and meetup handle name & send directly to us. This is private group and we have and will continue to ban and block any member that does not respect other members or the meetup/group etiquette.
The CatholiX: Gay Catholics Christians & Friends Group ("CatholiX") Organizers are volunteers, not professionals and we do not have any type of certified training. Organizers are going on spiritual, social and/or recreational activities and inviting others to join.
Participation in any event with the group is at your own and your guests' risk. Safety is your responsibility. Make sure that you and any guest you may bring are in good physical condition to participate.

I, and any guest that I may bring to the events, hereby release the Gay Catholics Christians & Friends Group and all the activity/event organizers from all responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage to myself or any of my guests and release the said Group and organizers from any and all claims including any claims which may be made in my name, or in the name of any of my guests, by my or their heirs, successors, administrators, and executors of my will.
I, and any guest that I may bring to the events, hereby understands, agrees, and accepts that the CatholiX Group reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event sponsored by CatholiX and any and all comments posted in group's website/app/meetup, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video/comments. CatholiX may use the photograph/video/comments in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by CatholiX including but not limited to digital or print: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, apps, tweets, social media, and others.
