10 people maximum due to the size of the boat.
There is potential for multiple boats. So, we encourage you to REGISTER to get your name on the Wait List quickly.
(NOTE: We've experienced some recent challenges with the MeetUp Wait List. Simply send me a message for assistance.)

**PAYMENT:
The payment of $45 per person, which covers the cost of renting the boat. Make your payment via PayPal using the ID sd.lgbt.boating.club@gmail.com. NOTE: This email ID is slightly different from the new name of our group.

**CANCELLATION:
Things happen and plans change. If you decide you need to cancel prior to the event, please remove your name from the event as soon as possible to allow others on the Wait List to prepare and join us. We often have people on the Wait List to secure your open seat! Sometimes we regrettably do not.

REFUNDS are issued if: 1) Cancellation is requested with a 1-week (7-day) notice and 2) If requested less than a 7 day notice and a Wait List replacement can replace you.

**INCLEMENT WEATHER:
If the weather is bad the day of the event, we will cancel it on the day of the event and refund any payments. Check the MeetUp group site for details.

We follow weather reports for predictions of winds and bad weather. If there is no lightening, cloudy and rain is simply at a mist or fog, we will still likely sail.

**SAILING ROUTE:
Our route can vary dependent upon the weather. We will often begin by sailing in a Catalina 320 toward the city skyline and perhaps the Coronado Bridge. Many bring a lunch or shareable snacks to enjoy about an hour into the sail.

Then we will navigate west to perhaps head out to the ocean. The views along the way are breathtaking and you will likely want to take a few photos.

We invite all participants that would like to take the helm if you would like the experience (it is NOT required)!

After we dock, we usually post a post sail social event (totally optional). Check out the MeetUp group for the Post Sail Social event. This is also open to you and your friend(s) if you cannot make the sail. Come join us!

**PREPARE FOR THE SAIL EVENT
It is typically cool and windy on the water. It is possible you can get wet. And, you are invited to assist with the sails and even take the help (not required).

The group provides water and a cooler to store your chilled items.

You may want to bring...
-Sweatshirt or light jacket
-Sailing gloves
-Shoes with a good grip. No bare feet or sandals.
-Lunch/snack/beverage(s): food or beverage(s) (for yourself or to share)

Most of us park at the Yacht Club Parking Lot onsite. You will need a credit card to enter and exit; and, you will receive a voucher to cover parking costs on the boat.

If additional parking is needed plenty of additional free parking is typically available at the park across the street.

Meet us at GATE F after parking. People begin arriving at 11:30/11:45. We depart at noon.
