What we're about

We are a group of adult (21+) geeky ladies focused on building a strong community to celebrate and enjoy all those things we geek out about. A Squee-squad, if you will. All varieties of geekery are welcome. DC Defenders, Marvel Mavens, and Wild Whovians. Ladies who are hot for Hiddleston and crazy for Cumberbatch. Fierce debatetresses of Xbox vs PlayStation vs PC Gaming and Mike vs Joel. Movie buffs, anime nuts, bookworms, D&D fanatics, computer geniuses, Broadway babies, cosplay and craft queens, and fangirls of any kind!

Types of events we host or attend as a group (suggestions always appreciated): Board Card Game parties, Console and PC Gaming events, TV & Movie Viewings, Crafting sessions, Karaoke Nights, Conventions, Renaissance Faires, Brunches and Dinners! All women are welcome to join this group, as long as your intentions are to attend events, meet new people and enjoy yourself. We do not discriminate based on race, age, culture, sexuality, creed, political affiliation, relationship status, level of geek knowledge, etc. We just ask that you are willing to be kind to others when attending our events.

Events will clearly indicate if they are for Geek Girls only, or if members will be allowed to bring guests outside of the group such as significant others, kids, pets, etc. This group is for women only. It is NOT a singles group.

We do have an attendance policy. After two No Shows, members will be placed on probation and may be removed or waitlisted for events at the event host's discretion. You can review the full policy details here. (

A note about the application process: To be sure you don't get mistakenly rejected, make sure your application and profile include at least half of the following criteria:

• A user name that looks like a real, human name

• A picture of yourself

• Thoughtful application answers

• Specific geeky activities you want to do with us (question 2)

• Refer to yourself as female in some way

• Belong to other Meetups that are female-centric

At least three of the above should be enough for me to figure out that you are a geeky, female applicant.
