At General Assembly, we are creating a global community of individuals empowered to pursue work they love, by offering full-time immersive programs, long-form courses, and classes and workshops on the most relevant skills of the 21st century – from web development and user experience design, to business fundamentals, to data science, to product management and digital marketing. Established in early 2011 as an innovative community in New York City for entrepreneurs and startup companies, General Assembly is an educational institution that transforms thinkers into creators through education in technology, business and design at thirteen campuses across four continents.

During our Python-focused intro class, you’ll learn you’ll learn about Python - including how to get started, essentials of programming in Python, and tools available to build applications in Python. In this class, you'll: • Touch on fundamental Python programming techniques and tools. • See where Python programming fits into the web workflow. • Apply your new skills to solve a real-world problem with Python. Whether you're a beginner who wants to get started in web development, a designer looking to hand-code their concepts, or a marketer who wants a little more control over their CMS, you'll need to know HTML and CSS to get the job done. This one day workshop is the quickest way to get started building websites. You will dive head first into HTML and CSS, skill up with live coding exercises, and by the end of the day you'll have a working web page to call your own.
