[IN-PERSON & ONLINE] NVC Geneva Book Club

chez David Laou

NVC Book Club was founded in 2021 with the aim of reading Marshall Rosenberg's book "Nonviolent Communication – A language of Life" together.

Having launched the NVC Book Club in early 2022, we would now like to continue with an aim to evolve our ideas.

General introduction:

Creating a group dedicated to the book gives us an opportunity to make space for discussions whilst reading together. It aims to support a deeper learning and understanding of the NVC language, which we believe will enrich the learning process in life and indeed in situations which we would like to compassionately communicate with others.

Through previous sessions, we learnt that it was important to meet the current needs of participants. As we continue to evolve the group and journey through the book together, we would like to invite participants to share anything that resonates when reading passages in the book. Understandably we may therefore share more than (what) we read in some sessions. This can also serve as to guide and prepare us for online and/or live sessions with a co-facilitator.

NEXT! Tuesday 6th December at 8pm
(Monday 12th December at 3.30 and Tuesday 20th December to be confirmed)

Afternoon sessions are fortnightly on a Monday afternoon at 15.30
Evening sessions are fortnightly on a Tuesday evening at 20.00

On Mondays / Tuesdays, the schedules are according to our collective inspirations, starting with:
• 15:30 / 20:00 check-in
• 15:40 / 20:10 following the flow of the reading
• 16:20 / 20:50 announcing the chair for the next session
• 16:25 / 20:55 check-out

If you want to attend these book club sessions but are unable to attend either the afternoon or the evening sessions listed, please contact us at: [masked]

We’d love to hear from you! Let us know when you’re able to participate, even if it is outside of our sessions. We are open to suggestions and looking forward to continuing an inspiring, connecting, and nurturing space through several time zones. Here’s to an NVC-filled world!

Bd Carl-Vogt 2

[Note for the community: This event is organized outside NVC Geneva with promotion here by agreement]

Date/Time: Saturday December 3rd and Sunday December 4th from 9:30am to 5:00pm

Who is it for?
This course is for people who want to be able to communicate more effectively, especially in conversations that are most important to us. The people who will get the most out of the experience are those who come willing to risk things in a real conversation with a real person.

Facilitator: Michael Dillo, NVC certified trainer since 2004

Co-facilitator: Luis E. Díaz, In the process of certification
www.uniho.blog

Contribution: CHF 350
If the amount keeps from attending please contact us to find a solution that can work for everybody.

The project is based on the educational guidance of Dr. Michael Dillo, who is a certified trainer and assessor with the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) since 2004. The pedagogy used is built on respecting the balance in educational practice according to the concept of Hand-Heart-Head. In this concept, learning by thinking and processing knowledge and information (Head) is supported by learning-by-doing and practice (Hands), and learning through experiencing feelings and needs dealing with personal emotions (Heart)

For more information about the workshop, details about reservations and payments please write to Michael ([masked]) or Luis ([masked]).
