Retours d'expérience AWS Lambda et serverless

Le Meetup Serverless et le AWS Swiss User Group Genève s'associent pour cet événement exceptionnel. Le 9 Juin, nous aurons la chance d'avoir non pas un mais deux retours d'expérience clients sur le serverless en général et Lambda en particulier:

1. Charles Malafosse est le CTO de 1275 (https://www.1275collections.com/), une société d'investissement dans le vin qui offre une traçabilité sur les bouteilles dès leur sortie du vignoble. Charles nous partagera son expérience de travail avec AWS Lambda, la logique du service, la gestion des connexions à une base de donnée et l'optimisation des coûts. Expérience acquise en construisant des applications serverless pour des startups. Charles utilise AWS depuis 2016 et a été récemment reconnu AWS Community Builder.
2. Laurent Tupin est Devops Leader chez Pictet Asset Management et Nicolas Berthenet, Lead Data Engineer chez Pictet Asset Management (https://www.group.pictet/), la très célèbre institution financière Genevoise. Ils commenceront par nous présenter leur façon de travailler avec le cloud, puis partageront leur experience d'utilisation de Lambda et SQS dans un contexte de traitement massif de données. Enfin, ils feront une demo de développement local avec AWS et localstack.

Le Meetup se déroulera au Spaces, Rue de Lausanne 15 à Genève (tout prêt de la gare Cornavin) le 9 juin à partir de 18h30.

The Geneva Serverless Meetup and the AWS Swiss User Group Geneva are joining forces for this exceptional event. On June 9, we will have the chance to get two customer feedbacks on serverless in general and Lambda in particular.

1. Charles Malafosse is the current CTO of 1275 (https://www.1275collections.com/), a wine investment company that offers traceability for bottles since they left the vineyard. Charles will share his experience working with AWS Lambda functions, from service logic, database connections management and cost optimization. Experience he gained building serverless solutions for startups. Charles has been working on AWS since 2016, and was recently recognized as an AWS Community Builder.
2. Laurent Tupin is Devops Leader at Pictet Asset Management and Nicolas Berthenet, Lead Data Engineer at Pictet Asset Management (https://www.group.pictet/), the famous financial institution in Geneva. They will start by a presentation of their way of working with the cloud, and will share their experience in dealing with massive amount of data with Lambda and SQS. Finally they will demo how they develop locally with AWS and localstack.
