Geo Lightning Talks ⚡️
GIS Day is November 14th -- let's meet up the night before to get hyped for the mappy holiday! We're partnering with our friends at MaptimePHL to put this event together and we want to hear from YOU! Submit your 5 minute lightning talk idea below. Talks should have a geo-theme to them, but could be about a wide variety of topics including: - findings from a school capstone or thesis project - a specific technique or tip that you can pass on to fellow mappers - a process you used for a project at work - a community project that used mapping or geospatial tech Presenters will be timed, so be sure to stick to the script! Please avoid sales-oriented talks - this event is meant to be educational and informative. Talk proposals are due: Tuesday, October 30th, 2018 Submit your talk proposal here: We'll review the talk proposals and let you know the week before the event! Schedule: 6:00PM -- Hang, network, mingle, eat, drink. 6:30PM -- Community news 6:45PM -- Lightning talks! --- We wouldn't be able to have these events without our generous sponsors: Thank you to WeWork for hosting us!
