Georgia Horseback Cares! is not a Meetup, Its a Movement!

Its a Monthly drive to raise money for feed for the abandoned and abused horses rescued at Save the Horses in Cumming, GA.

This month, please consider donating $10, volunteering, or picking up a bag of feed. Save the Horses does not get any government agency or federal assistance. They rely on donations from generous people like you to continue their great work of saving equine lives.

To help:

  1. Donate - via Paypal* by RSVPing to this Meetup.

  2. Volunteer - Help is needed daily at 8AM or 4PM. You must attend an Orientation first. See our calendar for upcoming Orientation dates (2nd Saturday of every month.)

  3. Purchase feed yourself. Below are the types that they use.

Note: 100% of donations go to Save the Horses Rescue in Cumming, GA. (www.savethehorses.org)

If you would like to purchase feed for Save the Horses, here are the brands that they use:

• Crossroads All Stock - 12% Sweet - 50lb bag (around $11)
• Triple Crown Senior Feed - for older and emaciated horses -50lb bag (around $23)
• Alfalfa or Timothy Cubes - used for horses that can't chew hay- 50lb bag - (around $20.50)

About the Georgia Horseback Cares! Program
Save the Horses is a no-kill, entirely volunteer run and donation supported 501c(3) nonprofit rescue. After they have saved abused, abandoned, neglected and slaughter-bound horses, the number one need is FOOD.

The mission of the GHR Cares! Program is to raise funds every month for nourishing Feed that these horses desperately need for their restoration to optimum health.

(Note: They currently have 70 horses living on their farm and many other animals as well.)
