What kind of stories do you write? (genre, short stories, novels, etc)

I write in many genres, but I love steampunk. I have published short stories, but I seem to prefer novella length or longer works.

How did you get into writing?

When you have a bunch of writer friends, the peer pressure gets to you. I started writing because I figured that I would never get better if I didn't practice it. After a few thousand words, apparently people like my style of writing and story. I'll keep with it, and see how good I can get.

What topics are you interested in discussing at a writer's meet up?

The business side of writing. Copyright and trademark and how to tell the difference. Story workshops. How to give constructive criticism when reviewing a story.

I started writing in 2010, and will publish my first novel in 2014. I have published tech reviews, speculative fiction short stories, and a novelette length story in an anthology. I learned about writing by doing, making mistakes, and learning.
