• What we'll do Start your week off right with tech job search tips! We will be discussing job search tips in the competitive tech field. Looking at employment trends in Vancouver/Portland along with finding the best ways to network. Resume/Cover Letter tips from experts in the field. Depending on the crowd, bringing in specific employers to discuss job openings and tips. Are you already in tech, but looking for a new opportunity? Have you been out of tech for a while, but looking at getting back into it? Is tech something you would like to get into, but are overwhelmed with everything that is available? This group will help guide you in the right direction while networking with people in the same situation as yourself. This is an open group where job searching and networking are one in the same. As most of us know, its not always what you know, but who you know. People are always asking me what is the best way to find a job in tech? The response is always the same. I tell them that they need to be out talking to people, networking. As a professional in the industry, I can often find out who is hiring, but that doesn't mean that I can get someone an interview. That often comes with knowing someone, or having a killer resume that gets through the ATS systems. This group is going to help you navigate through the process while meeting people that "may know someone" in a company that you want to work for, or transition into. • What to bring (Optional) Business Cards, Resumes, Job Descriptions • Important to know *We will not be meeting on state or federal holidays. http://www.officeholidays.com/countries/usa/regional.php?list_year=2018&list_region=Washington

*Guest Speaker* William Siebold- Former Art Director at The Art Institute (PDX)
