What we’re about

~ Get-Outside is a multicultural space to celebrate the peaceful aspects of life ~

Welcome to Get-Outside! Come join us as we explore the good things in life in and around Auckland and New Zealand!

There is evidence that regularly getting outside our usual physical, intellectual and social environments is both fun and better for our overall health (1). Join our merry band as we have a laugh and socialize in a healthy way through Auckland and New Zealand. Who knows, you may just end up making some new friends! :)

We do both outdoor things like hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, beach walks, and other fun social things indoors (like group art) while respecting others.

There are lots of community groups, and our group has formed over the last 10+ years with a few principles at heart.

1. TOGETHER: We do things together. We never leave anyone behind, and we try to stay together during events if possible.

2. JOY from within: We believe in finding joy from within. There are NO substances allowed at our events.

3. MULTICULTURAL: We appreciate and celebrate the multicultural nature of our Earth. We respect/tolerate different cultural attitudes towards the variety that is life.

4. SILENCE: We believe compassion driven silence can help fix differences. We organize regular SILENT walks and welcome you to join one of them when you can.

5. COMMITMENT: We promote a culture of commitment. If you cannot make an event, please let the Organizer know. If not, you will be marked as a 'No-Show'. 'No Show's may be removed from the Group.

Are you INTERESTED? Come join us NOW! :)

**Please note that we do not teach meditation. If you want to know more about this we recommend Self-Realization Fellowship (www.yogananda.org)**
