What we're about

We need new Event Organizers & Leaders. Yes, we are glad you joined us, however due to the uncertainty with COVID-19 pandemic and a divide between people getting vaccinated or not vaccinated, our group unfortunately has fallen dormant. Honestly I kept the group open for the last 2 years hoping for better results. At one time between 2014-2018 this was one of the most active Meetup groups in Charlotte. Unfortunately, we have lost several key members to moving/leaving Charlotte, not wanting to be social during Covid, getting married or sadly some have even passed away over the last few years.
We really need your help creating & leading events. They can include hikes, dinner, boardgames, breweries, bowling, US WhiteWater Center and anything else you can think of. We have nearly 3,100 members wanting to be social, make new friends, while building relationships & supporting local businesses. We need new & existing members to step up and post new ideas & gatherings.

We need hosts and event organizers for any type of activity. We have visited local Breweries like Sycamore, Triple C, OMB and Wooden Robot. We play Sand Volleyball on Saturday's.  We volunteer at local charities & non-profits.  We try to give back 3 times a year to support those less fortunate.  We went to Beds for Kids to clean furniture.  We've also helped Second Harvest Food Bank sort pallets of food, we've donated shoes to Samaritan's Feet and always looking for volunteer opportunities.
We are seeking more active members, so if I am trying to recruit new members to help plan Meet-ups so if you have ideas or would like to be an Event planner, please email me:  JPellow10@gmail.com
We do understand that people get sick, work late, things happen. please UN-RSVP if you cannot attend so Organizers aren't expecting you, or others may attend if there is a wait-list.
I will pay the group membership in the hopes that new members will become more involved. Organizers (me) do pay website costs and we are Community funded by donations.  If you wish to contribute a few dollars to fund our group or help fund an event that would mean so much

Thanks for joining and if you would like to help plan an event, please email me:  JPellow10@gmail.com
Sincerely,
Judd
