This group is for any and everyone who knows deep down that they need to get out and move more but are struggling to take their first steps. The main focus of this group is consistency.
Start where you are so long as when you're done you can honestly say...
"I raised my heart rate today" "I feel confident that I can come back out here tomorrow and do something similar"
A little about me:
I'm 44 years old. I'm a Navy Veteran. I'm currently overweight (technically obese). My goal is to lose 41 lbs by 1/1/2020. I don't consider myself a strong runner. I'm "training" for a 5 miler on 11/1/2019. Most of my original meetups will be in Granny Road Park or Heritage Park.
You can catch me at Granny Road Park on one of the football fields most days after 5pm, and many weekend mornings "sprinting", jogging, walking, or performing some light calisthenic. You might catch me throwing a football with one of the kids out there, or on the basketball court . If you bring a glove I'll play catch with you. Trust me when I say I'm not out there training for the Olympics...I'm just moving.
