Fry's Spring Historic Neighborhood, Easy 4 Miles, Dogs Welcome
Details
We will meet in the parking lot at Fry's Spring Beach Club, then walk to Piedmont, circa 1806 plantation of the Maury family, then on to University and Confederate Cemetery for a look around this fascinating place. Heading east to Stadium, we will then walk to Montebello, a circa 1819 mansion, once home to one of Jefferson's master builders, then back to the intersection of Fontaine & Jefferson Park Avenue.
Dinner is optional with several good choices: Fry's Spring Station, Guadalajara, Silk Thai, Mario's Italian, or Durty Nelly's.
There is usually plenty of street parking if the Beach Club lot isn't available. Look for my red KIA wagon.
Please make note of my number and CALL or TEXT if running late (540 688 8482.) Please, no emails after 5:00pm.
