Lets get in a bike ride on the High Bridge Trail. This is a beautiful, meandering rail trail bike path that is located in High Bridge Trail State Park in Farmville, VA. The entire trail is 31-Miles in length. On our bike journey, we will traverse a 5-mile section. We will start from the vicinity of Downtown Farmville, VA and bike 5 miles to the iconic High Bridge - which towers 125 feet above the Appomattox River and its flood plain. The length of the bridge is nearly a half-mile and has stood the test of time dating back to the Civil War. From the High Bridge we will stop for a break and allow all participants to take in the spectacular scenery. We will then retrace our way back to our starting point. And at the conclusion of our bike ride - for those that are interested - we can go to Macado's in the vicinity of downtown Farmville for a bite to eat and drink. And if time allows - and for those that might be interested - we can stop by Green Front Furniture and browse through there warehouse of Persian, Moroccan, and Turkish rugs.
