Join us for a three hour hike across a variety of landscapes, from grassy fields to deep forest trails that we share with horse and bike riders. We will stop for a snack near the Rivanna River.
The trails on this 969 acre property are well maintained, with one easy to cross, narrow, shallow creek.
Bring water and a snack. Hiking poles are not necessary.
There is no charge to visit the 1854 Haden family home which houses the museum and visitor center. Nearby is the original kitchen and smoke house, as well as the family cemetery.
Afterward, let's raise a glass at nearby Cunningham Creek Wine & Farm Store, a dog friendly family winery with outdoor seating at 3400 Ruritan Lake Road, Palmyra.
