GetHiking! 5 Miles on the MST at Falls Lake, from Cheek to Creek

Details
The Lick Cheek hike on the Mountains-to-Sea Trail along Falls Lake is one we haven't done in a while.
We'll gather at the end of Santee Road and shuttle to the trailhead off Cheek Road. From there, it's a mellow ramble in and out of heavily wooded coves along the south shore of Falls Lake, rolling terrain, but never gaining much altitude. At about the 4.5-mile mark, we'll cross the funky boardwalk across Lick Creek, then hike another 0.3 miles to the finish.
Bring 2 liters of water, bring snacks, bring trekking poles in you're a trekking pole kind of person. The hike is 5 miles and it's of easy/moderate difficulty, depending upon your fitness level. I lead these hikes from the back (skipping ahead occasionally to make sure we make any tricky turns); you're encouraged to hike at your own pace. Leashed dogs are welcome.
