Getting Quiet is a four week class series on meditation, mindfulness and intuition. Each class includes instruction on a meditation technique by Matthew, group meditation, and Q&A about either meditation, mindfulness or intuition.
You can come to as many or little of the classes as you would like, however each class will be slightly different.
Who should attend?
Getting Quiet is really an introductory course, however all are welcome to join the class series if they are interested. All meditation experiences and meditation teachers are different, so even if you have been a practitioner for many years you may feel inspired to attend. If so, please do! :)
What should I bring or wear?
You don’t need to bring anything, as there isn’t any need to take notes. Just dress comfortably. :)
How much is the class?
Getting Quiet is free, though you may make a donation to support the cost to run it and the teacher. If you cannot contribute financially but want to attend, please come anyway, really! :)
For those who can contribute, donations can be made on the meetup page, just follow the button marked “Chip in”. You can also donate at the beginning or end of class with cash or credit card. Most donations are between $10 and $20. Thank you!
When and where are the classes?
Getting Quiet will be held at the Hollywood Dance Center at 817 Highland Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038.
The next class series meets on Sunday evenings from 7-8pm, Jan/15/17 through 2/5/17.
Please arrive to class early or on time. Since we will be meditating it’s very disruptive to enter the room late. Because of this, we will close the door at 7:10 pm.
Where can I park?
Parking is free on Highland Avenue on Sunday nights. There is usually plenty open spots, but be sure to give yourself enough time to find a space, and of course read the street signs!
