Learning HTML and CSS is the first step in understanding how to build websites! They serve as a fantastic introduction for anyone interested in learning how to program.
We will guide you through the basics of HTML and CSS, give you some readily applicable skills, and answer any questions you may have along the way.
This is an introductory class. No previous programming experience is required.
CLASS DATES
This 2-session HTML/CSS course runs over two days. Your payment covers attendance for both days.
Day 1:
Saturday, 7/7 - 11:00 am - 3:00 pm: Intro to HTML and CSS
Day 2:
Sunday, 7/8 - 11:00 am - 3:00 pm: Deeper with CSS layouts
REQUIREMENTS
At this time, you will need to provide your own laptop - PC or Mac - to participate in the course. Note: A netbook or tablet is NOT a substitute.
We ask that you install the following on your laptop prior to class:
- Sublime Text 2, a text editor available for Mac, Windows, and Linux (http://www.sublimetext.com/2).
Also, please install either Chrome, Safari, or Firefox + Firebug:
- Firebug (http://getfirebug.com/), a Firefox extension with a plethora of tools handy in web development
- Firefox browser (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upgrade.html)
Please note that you must be 18 years or older to attend this class. For legal reasons, we cannot provide instruction to anyone under 18 years of age.
PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION
Your payment of $80 guarantees your seat in the course. If something changes after registration and you cannot attend the course, your seat is yours to sell or give to someone else-- just let us know who!

PARKING
Unfortunately, the venue cannot provide us with parking. Garages and street parking are available in the area and street parking is free on Sundays.
