May Mentoring Night and Hands-On Office Hours (Bring your laptop!) -- FREE!

Details

Want to learn to code, but not sure where to start? Interested in getting advice from tech industry professionals or some hands-on help with a coding problem? Join us for a special mentoring night and office hours event hosted by Pivotal Labs (https://pivotal.io/) in Santa Monica!

Agenda:

7:00pm - 7:30pm: Networking and food sponsored by Pivotal Labs!

7:30pm - 8:00pm: Introductions, meet the mentors, and an overview of what we do at Girl Develop It LA

8:00pm - 9:00pm: Mentorship groups and hands-on office hours (if you brought your laptop!)

We'll break up into small groups, half for general mentorship chats and half for hands-on office hours using our laptops! This is your chance to meet mentors and fellow learners, ask and answer questions, and figure out what skills and next steps can help you in your career.

Everyone is welcome to attend, but please honor your RSVP.

Our hosts, our volunteer mentors, our sponsors and our organizers donate considerable time and money to make our events happen. Please be respectful of everyone's time, energy, and money and make every effort to attend if you've indicated that you'll be there.

Mentors:

Already working in tech? Want to be a mentor and help answer questions and guide students? Sign up on our Get Involved page (http://gdila.org/get-involved/) -- it only takes a minute!

Sponsor and Host:

Big thanks to Pivotal Labs (https://pivotal.io/) for sponsoring us at their beautiful office and providing food for us!
