Intro to React (6-Class Series)

Details

React is one of the most popular JavaScript frameworks. Companies such as Facebook, Netflix, AirBnB, and Eventbrite are using it to power web applications that make interacting with users faster than ever before. This introductory series will introduce you to the basic concepts you need to understand to work with React.

You'll learn why React is so powerful as a framework; work through exercises to learn the basics; write code that takes advantage of the new ES6 language features, and build an Instagram-like application project from scratch! By the end, you will understand what single-page applications (SPAs) are; the fundamentals of creating single-page apps with a frontend framework; and how such applications differ from traditional web apps.

Topics to be covered will include:

React Components
JSX, Props & State
React Hooks
React Context API
