Details

Do you have a project, personal brand or business needing a facelift but don’t know where to begin? Are you looking to elevate your business and can’t afford a designer to get it off the ground?

If you are looking to build a strong brand identity and are feeling lost, this class will give you the tools to create a brilliant brand at any stage. You will learn how to implement the design process your own project, blog or business. In this class, we will cover:

• Five methods you can easily implement to strengthen your brand with no design background needed.

• The power behind a good inspiration board (and how to actually create and use it!).

• Typography, where to find great imagery, content and the importance of brand clarity.

• Design and branding tips that will help your brand stand out from the rest.

We'll work together to create an inspiration board that will help focus your vision for a project of your choosing. You’ll walk away with some graphic design basics, how to implement the five methods and resources/worksheets to grow your visual presence both online and off.

Sharon McMullen founded Ink + Mortar Design Co. (http://inkandmortar.com), a boutique graphic + web design studio, in 2013, after realizing she couldn’t stifle her passion to create unique and personal identities and websites for growing brands. With a background working for Anthropologie, BHLDN, The Limited and the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets, Sharon knows how to build a strategic design foundation while adding hand-crafted elements to create one-of-a-kind brand identities and websites. When not designing, you can find Sharon adding to her vast collection of vintage fabrics, styling and restyling every corner of her apartment or on a sunny patio with a cocktail in hand (and with plenty of SPF – she is Irish, after all!).
