This is our quarterly teaching meetup for members of our community interested in sharing best practices, honing their teaching skills, and/or becoming instructors! Refreshments (light dinner, wine, and sweets) will be served.

If this is your first teaching meetup, please arrive at 6:15 for a brief overview of the process and administrative side of being a GDI instructor. Other attendees should feel free to arrive after 6:30. Formal programming will begin around 7.

The agenda includes:

• Guest speaker - Suzie Nieman, a digital project manager at We Are Mammoth and an organizer with Girl Develop It Philly. She will be speaking with us about best practices for conflict resolution.
• Lightning Lessons
• Your questions, curated from discussion at the prior Meetup.
• Open forum and Q&A

There will also be time to socialize with fellow teachers and TAs!

Lightning lessons are 5-minute lectures plus (usually) a set of exercise instructions given to our friendly and helpful community of instructors and aspiring instructors. Members take this opportunity to test new material, get constructive feedback on teaching technique, and, for new instructors, to get comfortable with a crowd. Let us know if you're interested in presenting, and we can give you more info!

As always, all attendees are expected to abide by the Girl Develop It Code of Conduct (http://www.girldevelopit.com/codeofconduct).
