Join us for our monthly Code & Coffee Study Group! Whether you're looking to keep practicing what you learned in your last class or are in the midst of a project or don't know where to get started, your community is here to help.

For January, we are going to have a special focus on Career Changers! All are welcome, but if you're looking into or working on making a career change, this one is especially for you! Come meet others who are also making career changes and get advice from some of those who've already done it!

This is a great event for first time attendees who just want to socialize. We're very friendly and would love to have you join us :) Meghan is running this event and is very attentive to first-time attendees! Feel free to send her a message beforehand so she can look out for you. She is also a career changer and is happy to answer questions!

This will be an informal event where members can meet each other and collaborate. Feel free to bring drinks, food or anything else you might like.

Bring a laptop and something to work on. It's okay if you don't have a project! Here are some sites that you can practice with:

PairUpToCode Exercises (http://www.pairuptocode.com/)

Code Academy (http://www.codecademy.com/)

Khan Academy (JS) (https://www.khanacademy.org/computing/cs/programming)

Code School (https://www.codeschool.com/)

Eloquent Javascript (http://eloquentjavascript.net/)

JS Assessment (https://github.com/rmurphey/js-assessment)

Feel free to come by for the whole thing or drop in when you have time.

A note to TAs: If you are interested in helping out with this event or a future study group, please let us know!
