Git is a popular version control and allows you (and your team) to collaborate, track, and revert changes to your software code, documentation and samples. This workshop covers the basics of using Git to manage software, sharing code repositories through the GitHub, and getting started contributing to open source projects. This workshop covers the basis of using Git and Github.
Once we have covered how to use Git, we will explore Github and examine how to track issues/feature request/questions, create a copy of an open source repository into your account, submitting changes to an open source repository, and how to host a demo web site on Github.
