JavaScript is a the language of interactivity on the web. Ever used Google maps? Clicked on something to make it appear or hide? Seen a slideshow of images? You have used JavaScript! We will cover variables, functions, controls, the DOM, animations, and events.

Because JavaScript interacts with HTML elements, we suggest having a working knowledge of HTML as a prerequisite for this course. If you already know some HTML, or have taken our Intro to HTML/CSS class, JavaScript is a great next step! No programming experience is necessary.

Please note that this is a four part class. Session dates are:

Class 1: Wednesday, September 25, 7:00-9:00 PM

Class 2: Wednesday, October 2, 7:00-9:00 PM

Class 3: Wednesday, October 9, 7:00-9:00 PM

Class 4: Wednesday, October 16, 7:00-9:00 PM

Please bring a laptop with a text editor and either Chrome or Firefox. If you do not have access to a laptop or have any questions about selecting a text editor, please let me know.

Our program and curriculum are geared toward adults over the age of 18; at this time we do not accept minors as students in our courses and workshops.
