Want to learn how to build your own website? Already have your own site and want to have more control over it? Interested in learning to program but want to start small?
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, this is for you! This a an overview of the material from our popular 'Intro to HTML & CSS' all day-class. This beginner-level overview will take you from a blank page to a functioning website, including writing valid HTML, adding links and images, applying CSS styles, and positioning elements.
TECH REQUIREMENTS
• Your laptop.
• A text editor installed before class. We recommend Sublime Text (It's free and available for both Mac and PC).
• Google Chrome web browser installed before class.
INSTRUCTOR
Tarik Hamilton has been writing HTML and CSS for over 10 years and is always excited to help others learn this fundamental component of web (and today, desktop and mobile applications!). He is the lead developer at Symphony and is always willing to answer questions about JavaScript, PHP, or WordPress in the Girl Develop It Tampa Bay Slack group.

Where are we located
This course will be located at Symphony, 10901 Roosevelt Blvd N, Building A, Ste 100. When you enter the Pinellas Business Center from Roosevelt Blvd, take a right and it’s the corner office. Park anywhere, parking is free!

At Girl Develop It, we make every effort to keep costs low. Most of the fees collected go to paying our teachers and covering overhead costs. Chapters use excess funds to build scholarship funds.
Because of transaction and labor costs of processing refunds, we have a "No Refunds" policy. We will refund class fees paid when a class is cancelled. Otherwise, please make every effort to sell your seat to a friend.
