Details

Are you trying to break into the tech field or transition careers? Curious about what its like to work in different technical positions? Looking to hire members for your team?

Join us for our next panel, "Women Who Transitioned into Tech" and learn more about important pieces of a tech team. Hear from a panel of experienced ladies with different backgrounds and responsibilities about how they came to work in tech.

They will highlight what their day-to-day responsibilities are like, what they enjoy about the work, and what advice they have for folks looking to enter the field. Employers are welcome to attend and bring marketing materials to share with attendees following the panel! Please reach out to Megan Anthony with specifics on openings so that you can be pointed out during the networking portion.

We are seeking sponsors for light snacks & refreshments at each event who will be spotlighted for their support. Get in touch with Megan Anthony if interested in more details!

Elizabeth is a Front End Developer at The Archer Group, a digital agency in downtown Wilmington. She began her coding career in early 2015 with GDI Philly in an effort to switch careers after almost a decade working as an archaeologist. After many GDI and online classes, she secured an internship with Archer and is now deep into her journey as a developer. She continues to work with GDI Wilmington to give back to the community after gaining so much knowledge and inspiration that helped her get started early on.

I'm an artist and former nonprofit employee turned coder. During the 12 weeks of coding bootcamp at Zip Code Wilmington, I went from part-time painter to full-time software developer for Bank of America. My passion is learning and my joy is curiosity. Software development is a dream come true for me.
