This book club is focused on non-fiction books that present new research and ideas into how our world works -- the sociology, the physics, the neuroscience, the philosophy. The first books that we read were MoneyLand by Oliver Bullough, The Righteous Mind by Jonathon Haidt, and two books by Malcolm Gladwell: Talking to Strangers and David and Goliath. We are dedicated to an open discussion about the ideas in the book in a friendly and exploratory manner. If you are interested, please reach out to me and tell me a bit about yourself and a few examples of the books that you are finding interesting about the world.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are on a pause and will not be starting new reads until May. We had been meeting in the Bothell area, but that limits attendance by Seattle-area folks. Let me know if you would like to consider virtual online meetings. May you stay well, sane, and supportive through these trying times.
