Join us in this webinar where we discuss how to tackle the drug problem – is it through punishment or rehabilitation?
You can join this webinar at https://app.webinarjam.net/register/20480/1516cf11cc and you will need to register at this landing page to take part.
In the UK we have followed a policy that takes a punitive approach to drug users that has consistently failed. It victimizes the user and does nothing to help the community at large.
There is now a groundswell of opinion around the globe and in the UK too that health care is what is needed and not prison cells. Efforts have to be focussed on harm reduction to individuals who are often victims of circumstance – and often of organised crime. For users we need to provide help and not victimisation.

Responsibility has to be shared by forging a drug policy that works for the user, reduces the growth or organized crime and that also makes society safe. That is not happening now and change is long over due.

This Webinar will be led by Andria Efthimiou-Mordaunt who has been an active campaigner for drug reform for many years and has formed the John Mordaunt Trust set up in 1996 to honour the memory of an influential AIDS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIDS) activist and Andria’s partner.
Andrea works tirelessly for a change in the laws on drugs where we do not wage war but where we provide help and support. She has supported many people and fought tirelessly for those who have become victims of a drug culture. She is part of a growing movement for reform.
