Hello Readers

Our group is for anyone over the age of 25, living in or around Gloucester, who's interested in reading, and discussing good books. Our catchment area does not cover South Gloucestershire for face to face meetings but you can consider joining our online meetings.

I currently run five face to face meetings a month for those who would like to read more, to read books outside their comfort zone, for those who are avid readers and those who want to get back into reading. We spend over an hour discussing our book but on the flip side, our members are warm and welcoming and enjoy a chat and a laugh. Please only join if you have the time to come to our meetings.

We have a Wednesday group which meets online via Skype and a Wednesday face to face groups which meet at The Fountain Inn, Westgate Street, Gloucester. We meet upstairs and (occasionally downstairs)which is accessed through the main bar. Parking is on-street, unrestricted after 5pm and free in the pedestrianised zone of Westgate Street.
Tuesday group meets at a member's house in an upstairs drawing room. There are several steps in the property. On street parking in roads close by.

Thursday afternoon group is now held at The Greyhound pub, Greyhound Gardens, Longlevens. Level access and car park.

Fees per meeting are £2 per member. Cash on the night or can be paid directly into my Monzo bank account.

I am reluctant to turn anyone away, but due to demand, I regularly review membership and remove those who do not attend a discussion in the first 2 months of joining, have not looked at the site in 2 months or who have been unable to attend for 6 months or more. Should you drop off the membership list, you will be most welcome to rejoin in the future.
