December Gophers

Details
Hi London Gophers! π
Wow, already December ... how time has flown by! We've had an amazing year of meetups, talks and socialising so what better way to see the year out than continuing with that tradition.
This month we will be trialling a new speaker slot, "Foundations of Go", aimed at new and experienced Gophers alike. The format will a number of 5 minute slots with live demos/coding covering everything from "Getting started with Go + VSCode", to "Maps in action", "Defining methods", "Using context.Context", "Working with JSON" and much much more. We will be reaching out to people to help with upcoming sessions, but in the meantime please let us know what sort of topics you'd like to see covered via https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScewvdnAARCdlW1mfbaOmoZYFeja_fsEKwRsiuTd8d5BDZ4fA/viewform
If you can't make it to the talks, or you're stuck on the wait-list, join us after the event for some socialising.

πΌ IMPORTANT JOBS UPDATE πΌ
If you are looking to mention that you are hiring on the evening (and will be present) please contact us (via glug-organisers@googlegroups.com) ahead of meetup the with a link or email address so that we can add you to our jobs slide.
This will both streamline the jobs section on the evening and allow Gophers to easily find your information after the event.
π£ If you'd like to give a talk at the future meetups, don't be shy, we are always looking for speakers and speaker mentors that want to share their adventures with Go. Do get in touch! Weβll be happy to support you and offer advice if needed π.
P.S. We are always looking for sponsors - and venues! - as well. So if you know someone that can help us with the food / beverage budget, we'll be happy to add the name to our sponsors list. Gophers are known to like food and being hydrated. Thank you!
