Itinerary:
Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri Day 2: Sankri to Juda-ka-Talab Day 3: Juda-ka-Talab to Kedarkantha base Day 4: Kedarkantha base to Kedarkantha Peak || Back to Hargaon camp Day 5: Hargaon camp to Sankri & Sankri to Dehradun / Rishikesh Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri Report at Dehradun Airport before 8 AM Distance: 220 KM || 10 hrs Altitude: Dehradun (2,087 ft) to Sankri (6,455 ft) The journey is very scenic, as you pass through Purola, where the drive curves through a dense pine forest. Throughout the journey, you will be traversing the mountains and Yamuna and the river of Tons which makes the journey a very beautiful experience. On the way, you can halt at a few places to take really good photographs. Stay: Sankri (Homestay) Day 2: Sankri to Juda-ka-Talab Distance: 4 KM || 5 hrs Altitude: Sankri (6,455 ft) to Juda-ka-Talab (9,311 ft) We will be passing through dense pine forest, maple trees, natural streams and beautiful meadows Stay: Jula-ka-Talab (Tented - 4 sharing) Day 3: Juda-ka-Talab to Kedarkantha Base Distance: 4 KM || 3 hrs Altitude: Juda-ka-Talab (9,311 ft) to Kedarkantha Base (11,253 ft) We trek on the ridge under oak trees. We will see the peaks: Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag and Ranglana stand among the others Stay: Kedarkantha base (Tented - 4 sharing) Day 4: Kedarkantha Base to Kedarkantha Peak || Back to Hargoan Camp Distance: 6 KM || 7 hrs Altitude: Kedarkantha Base (11,253 ft) to Kedarkantha peak (12,500 ft); descend to Hargaon camp (8,450 ft) We'll be enjoying the view at the summit and descend back to the base camp by the afternoon for lunch Stay: Hargaon base (Tented - 4 sharing) || 8,450 ft Day 5: Hargaon camp to Sankri & Drive back to Dehradun / Rishikesh Distance: 6 KM || 4 hrs Altitude: Hargaon camp (8,450 ft) to Sankri (6,455 ft) Descend through thick pine forests Distance: 220 KM || 10 hrs We will the campsite after taking a few good photos and we will head back to Dehradun via the same route we came. We will reach Dehradun by 5 PM in the evening. You can plan your journey as per that. (For people who opted only for the trek) Note: Stay will be provided by GoAdventure for the people opted for rafting. Stay: Rishikesh (Homestay - Four sharing) Add on: Rishikesh rafting - 16 KM - Extra 2000/- Day 6: We will complete the rafting activity before 1 PM.
