A Midday Romp Up Council Crest in the Sunshine

Details
It looks like the National Weather Service is not shut down because the forecast's indicate plenty of sunshine for Friday. If you joined Jan on her Tuesday rides this summer, we will do something similar.
Slow hill climbers are welcome on this ride. We will be working on our climbing the only way we know how, by doing it. This ride is structured to not intimidate the novice hill climber. Since it is an out and back, you can turn around when you have had enough but we will be encouraging you to go all the way. We will be regrouping along the way.
We will take a lap around Fairmount before we make our way up to the top of Council Crest.
Time: Meet and great at 11:45 AM and be ready to ride at 12:00 PM sharp. I will be riding to the start point so I will be arriving just a few minutes before noon. We honor those who arrange their schedule to be on time.
Route: Up and Back
RIDE LEADER CONTACT INFO: Ross 503-267-8895 rosswrede@gmail.com. Please call or email with any questions.
Pace: Climbing at your own pace.
Distance: Approx. 18 miles
Hills: Yep!
Attitude: Regrouping along the way.
Traffic: City streets with normal traffic and bike paths.
Weather Cancellation Policy: Brutal cold, soupy fog or sideways rain will cancel. I will post a comment by 10:00 AM if the weather is bad enough to cancel.
Required: All items you need to change your tire if you get a flat, including a spare tube. Please carry sufficient water and snacks for the ride.
Note: Your RSVP signifies that you agree to the following. Organizers, event hosts and other participants will not be held responsible for any individual at any event. Each rider rides at their own risk and is solely responsible for any damage to their equipment or themselves.
Final Note: RSVP’s cannot include a +1 or Guest. If you choose to bring a friend or family member, they themselves must sign up as a member of NumBumz.
Mandatory for all riders.
Obey traffic laws and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community and should conduct yourself that way on the road. Please represent us well.
All riders must have their rides in good working order and must bring a flat kit & spare tube on all rides. If there is an issue with proper working or lack of equipment you may be asked to sit the ride out. Please ask for help if you are ill equipped prior to the ride. We will try to help!
All riders must be able to change a flat should they have one or have a way to get picked up (AAA, a friend…). There is often but not always someone on the ride who knows how to help you change your tire so plan accordingly.
