Civil War Game Beavers vs. Ducks

Will the Beavers ruin the Ducks season this year as Oregon State and Oregon meet in the annual Civil War game? Whether you're a Duck or a Beaver fan, or could really care less, let's get together and watch one the best college football rivalries in the nation on the Big Screen. Joan will arrive early and save a table or booth at The Alberta Substation so we all can watch. We will do a short 17 mile ride prior. The route is fairly flat and we will ride at a pace suitable for everyone.

Here's the route:

17 Miles and not much in the way of hills.

The red notes below apply to this ride:

Pace: Comfortable for everyone

Distance: 17 miles

Hills: Almost none. Total elevation gain/loss is about 450 ft.

Fitness: Suitable for almost everyone.

Attitude: Social - Regroup at turns

Start Location:

Alberta Substation

2703 NE Alberta St, Portland, OR

Start Time: 9:30AM meet and greet

Let's roll out by 9:45AM

Ride Leader Contact Information: Ross[masked] [masked]

Rider Requirements: Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. This is a requirement and not a request. Always bring plenty of water, dress or gear for the weather conditions, snacks for energy, a flat repair kit, including a spare tube. A tool kit and small pump is good, but if you don’t have one there is usually someone on a group ride who does (but don’t count on it). Carry a credit card, cell phone and a little cash to buy refreshments. Obey traffic laws and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community and should conduct yourself that way on the road. Please represent us.

And most important, bring a Positive and Supportive attitude.
