January Meetup

Details
Hi and welcome to Golang BCN January's Meetup!
We are proud and excited to host two new speakers that haven't presented before with topics that for sure will be interesting to learn about.
· Leonid Bugaev (@buger) from Tyk.io will present "Dynamical extending and patching Go apps using plugins".
At Tyk.io we are building Go based software which is used by thousands of customers. We want to share our experience on how we build reliable application and infrastructure architecture which allows us extending and dynamically patching our binary distribution on per customer basis. This talk also covers plugin build pipeline which can be shared with customers, and allow them extending the application by themselves.
· Mario Macías (@MaciasUPC) from New Relic will present "Summoning the Go memory manager"
"Passing pointers is faster than moving structs", they told us in CS grades. This assumption persisted in our mind and we never questioned that Go is neither C nor C++. Go manages the memory for us, but that doesn't mean that we can forget about memory management.
Knowing basic rules of Go memory allocation and management will allow us writing faster programs, thanks to faster memory allocations and less Garbage Collection.
We look forward to see you all in the meetup!
P.s:
· Be on time, we like to start on time and finish early!
· If you can' make it, please cancel your attendance some days before the meetup so other people can attend
