What we're about

This is a group for anyone interested in have a bit of fun (while we raise some funds for the Asthma Foundation.) We conduct events over a range of activities including kayaking, hiking, stand up paddleboarding, walking, cycling, dinners, BBQs, lunches, day cruises and day trips, social events, movies, etc. All skills levels are welcome to our water based activities.

I started this group to raise awareness of Asthma and to enjoy the company of others interested in our activities.

this year our major fundraising event is in Asthma Week. It is the 36 km 6000 Breaths for Asthma Oceanway Walk from Coolangatta to the Spit on September 3.

Looking forward to exploring the outdoors with everybody.

Bike ride Tallebudgera to Coolangatta and back

Tallebudgera Leisure and Sports Centre

The ride will be about 28 km. We will ride from Tallebugera to Coolangatta and return. The ride will be mostly on the footpath/bike track with a short section of quiet back street. Easy flat ride no hills. We will have for coffee at Tallebudgera on our return. Must have own bike and helmet and must wear closed shoes, bring water and and a sense of fun. Currumbin Paddle and Swim - Kayak / SUP

The Boatshed

Park at the Boatshed, if you need to hire a kayak or SUP, you can get one here. Please be ready to head off from the Boatshed by 9.15 am. We will paddle for 45 to 60 minutes including a swim at the lagoon before paddling back to the cars / Boatshed. There is also an opportunity for anyone who would like to head up the alley and ride a wave or two instead of swimming. Please indicate each week if you need a kayak and we will make sure the Boatshed has enough for us to use each week. A get together for all those who have or have not been to a lot of walks / paddles and would like to catch up. Wazza is doing a huge fundraiser in June/July and we want to support him by getting social and donating a gold coin. Come for coffee, cake, brunch or whatever!!

Bike Ride Broadbeach to Biggera Waters and back

Kurrawa Surf Club

Meet at Kurrawa Surf Club peddle via Ocean Way to Southport then over the Sundale bridge and on to Biggera Waters. Approx 30k.
