GGCS Welcomes Eric Dunn, CEO of Quicken
Quicken has been the leading Personal Finance software since the 1980s. In 2016, Quicken Inc. was spun off from Intuit as an independent private company. Eric’s talk will cover: • The state of Quicken • Accomplishments over the last 18 months • Key features in Quicken 2018 – Windows and Mac • Coming soon – new Mobile and Web Quicken • Questions and Answers Eric has been a Quicken user since 1985 and was employee #4 at Intuit when Quicken was Intuit’s only software product. He was a programmer on almost all the early versions of Quicken, led the development of its payments business, was its CFO during Intuit’s IPO and acquisition of TurboTax and later became Quicken’s General Manager and Intuit’s CTO. Eric retired from Intuit in 2000 to pursue a second career in technology investing, first as an angel investor and then as a General Partner at Cardinal Venture Capital. He returned to Intuit in 2010 as a General Manager and is now CEO of Quicken Inc., the standalone private company. The meeting is open to the public at a cost of $5.00 for visitors and includes the Introduction to Computers class (pay at the door by cash, check or credit card). We sponsor monthly meetings on a variety of consumer technology topics. Our group is users helping users learn about computers as well as all types of consumer technology. We help with both PC's and Mac's, members range from nervous beginners to confident mentors eager to share their knowledge.
