SITTING Just enough

University Unitarian Universalist Society

• What we'll do HOW THIS WILL WORK There will be two 20 minute meditation sessions with a break in the middle. Starting roughly at 7 PM... We will settle in together. We will light a chalice. I will start each "sit" with the chime of a bowl gong. At the end of each "sit" you will hear the bowl gong chime again. At the end of the 2nd "sit" we will extinguish the chalice. During the break between sitting sessions you should feel free to stretch, adjust, discuss or just hang out until we start again. (there are no hard and fast rules. You can get up and move during the "sit" too if you need to) • What to bring AFTER THE SITTING You are invited to bring and partake in a potluck style dessert and freestyle conversation. We are encouraged to disperse by 9 :00 PM. • Important to know NOTE: We do not have meditation cushions to share. You may choose to sit on the chairs, sofa, or the floor. If you bring your meditation cushion you should be prepared to take it home with you.
