Wednesday Morning Meditation

Join us in the Library (signs with instructions on the front door) for a half hour lightly guided "sit." This is a casual sit session. Not Zen. Not Vipassana. Not Dzogchen. Not any of the leading mindfulness teachers of the moment, but informed by all of the above. If you are comfortable in a quiet room with a few words to remind you why you are sitting there from 20 -30 minutes and being encouraged through occasional meta practice then this will fit a need. No charge. Just join in. We will start about 8:35 AM. and end about 9 AM. We light a chalice, ring a bowl gong and with gentle words are used to lead us to sit quietly for "a while." We end with a closing reading/poem or meta meditation and a closing ring of the bowl gong. What to bring There are chairs and a sofa for sitting on. If you would rather have a cushion on the floor you should bring one with you.
