Abstract:
Talk 1: Using Anthos and GitLab you can build a multi-team platform for streamlining CI/CD, policy management and developer onboarding across your organization and teams. This talk will walk through the reasons for building a platform in your organization and then demo common developer, operator, and security engineer tasks to show how the patterns can improve your company’s software delivery performance.
Talk 2: A service mesh lets you automate and supercharge your network in the same way Kubernetes let you automate and supercharge deploying and running software. Learn about the history of the pattern inside Google, the open-source Istio service mesh based on it, how service mesh is for more than just VMs, and why it turns out it's not complex: everyone is just holding it wrong!
